When choosing a destination
- - I select places suitable for tourism
- - I do not go to fragile places
- - I choose destinations that are committed to the preservation of their environment
When preparing my trip
- - I choose addresses with a low environmental impact
- - I choose destinations with positive effects on the local economy, populations and cultures
- - I select addresses that take animal welfare into account
To reach my destination(s)
- - I prefer to travel by train, carpooling, cycling or hiking
- - I limit my air travel
- - I favour slow tourism
- - I offset my carbon footprint
Once there
- - I leave no trace of my visit
- - I do not take any samples from nature or archaeological sites
- - I respect the local instructions posted
- - I do not feed wild animals and I respect their space
- - I use environmentally friendly products
- - I make sure that I produce zero waste (or almost zero waste)
- - I favour organisations, facilities and accomodations with positive effects on the local economy, populations and cultures
- - I adapt my needs to local resources and the customs of the inhabitants
